Dear Sarah,
..
I am just getting into Kundalini practice. Your videos are enjoyable, and I’m embracing the challenge. Will you please explain the purpose of covering the right nostril at the end of the Renewing Our Rhythms video?

Dear Andrea,
..
Thank you for watching and practicing with us! So great you have decided to take on the challenge of Kundalini!
..
Your question relates directly to the Pranayama or controlled breathing at the end of the Renewing our Rhythms class, but often times I finish my classes by sealing the right, male/fiery, active ‘nadi’ called the Pingala. By doing this we breath exclusively through the left nostril or the ‘Ida nadi’ and we are invoking a cooling, calming energy.
..
Thanks for your question and I encourage you to try more of our classes on Pranayama!

I have chronic migraine and often experience swelling of the sinuses when in an inverted position – even one as simple as forward bend. This makes it impossible for me to breathe through my nose. Do you have any suggestions for how to deal with this?
Yes breathing technique is really good for health. Because of little stomach exercise it reduces all stomach disease & prevents all kind of stomach infections.
Hello, first I want to tell you how important Yogatoday and you wonderful women are for me for the last 2 years now. Thank you!
I have two questions:
- I’m a singer. Could the victorious breath hurt my voice?
- my left hip is acting strangely from time to time. It pops a lot and some positions aren’t possible without ‘adjusting’ the joint. (my way of adjustment). Thank you so much, Margot
Thanks for sharing the wonderful tips.
I am really impressed with Sarah Kline, Spine warmer kriyas. I think these are very beneficial for both physical and mental health improvements. Couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with early onset of diabetes, and had also put on weights. I restarted yoga practice, That I had also learnt at home. I also discovered spinal twists helped a lot, I have build an innovation patent device to help enhance spinal twist exercises. It helped me overcome diabetes, loose weight, and drastic improvement in health. I think spinal twist exercises have wide range of benefits, to reduce obesity, control diabetes, weight control, increase mental alertness, higher productivity… and many more. Thanks, Sarah for your excellent videos.
