Inner Balance: Eka Pada Koundiyanasana I

December 24, 2009 by Neesha | 25 comments

Neesha teaches a short workshop on Eka Pada Koundiyanasana I, a pose that strengthens the arms and wrists while toning the belly (something we all look for during this season of abundance:)

Enjoy and Happy Holidays! xo

This video file isn’t working on either this site or iTunes :-(

this video does not open as many others on this page -

Hi I can’t get this to open or play either…??? any suggestions??

I am trying to get Neesha Zollingers short workshop on Inner Ballance, Eka Pada Koundi… to open, it does not. I hate miss these short workshops, because they disappear to fast. Do you have the somwhere on your website for sale? Since I work now 13 or so hours during the Christmas season till sometime in January I just do not have the time for the regular classes. I have misse quite a few already there was one on backbands or back I think and 2 more.

Why do they not play? The regular classes play.

sorry to find the site not up and running

ok then it is not just me :-) looking forward to download it and get on the mat!

Renate, these short sessions never disappear — they are always available through the “community” and then “blog” settings.

However, as for this one, I can’t get it to play either…and I normally don’t have problems with these classes!

This one is not working normally for me either. The photo on the newsletter looks challenging. I am looking forward to learning this.

I can’t get any videos on this site to work today. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Hi Neesha,
Love your class! Will keep practicing!

Have a beatiful 2010!
Om shanti,
Valentina

Thaaaaank you Neesha! :D

Really enjoyed this! I love that you provide these 20 minute options for those days when I just can’t make it to the mat for an hour. Thank you Neesha and YogaToday!

For those who can’t make it work – check out youtube. On the times they aren’t working on this site, youtube seems to be just fine.

Great Video Neesha.

I would love to see a video on eka pada koundinyasana II going into both legs up in the air and back to plank!

Hello everyone. Sorry about the technical difficulties with this video. We’ve reposted it and it should be working fine now but please let us know right away if you experience any further problems.

Cheers and happy holidays!

Thanks soooo much for posting this, its a great way to really feel the celebration physically – of the new year to come!

Wishing you all a magic upcoming year with lots of fantastic new experiences and adventures…

… and Neesha, I’d love if you’d to come (back) to Sweden for workshops and teacher trainings (since was pregnant and recently “laboured” when you where here last time)!!

See you,
J

I’m subscribed but not having luck pulling up classes. I need my fix :)

Hi! Thank you for great yoga videos ang blog! The only thing I am missing is a video of yoga for pregnant women? I am pregnant with my first child and have been praticing youa for two years, but I am unsure which postures I should and should not do during my pregnancy. Can you guys help?

I was hoping someone could tell me what the music is that plays at the beginning of the videos. Thanks!

Hi Michele,

The song that plays in the beginning of the video is entitled “Sofa Rockers (Richard Dorfmeister Remix.)” It’s by the Sofa Surfers on their “See the Light” Album from Klein Records:)

Click here to buy it in iTunes.

:)

I will keep practicing this!! I learned wonderful things about arm balances in general. The strength of the shins and making your hips light…amazing what a difference that makes. Thank you!

Great quality video as always though for Side Crow I really needed a better shot of where to place the hands in regards to the feet. i.e. how far apart and if they’re towards the top of the mat or the rear. Really want to do this pose properly.

5 stars otherwise though! :D

Wonderful flow! I love the sequence of asanas that you selected to build up to the arm balance. I also love the beautiful way that you provide detailed technical info in a spirited way! Thanks for the awesome blog!
