Teaching over here has been a lovely experience! I started my journey in the beautiful city of Gothenburg. Located on the southwestern coast of Sweden, the people of Gothenburg are intelligent, gentle and open to the teachings of Anusara yoga. My week began at Yoga Buddhi, which is an up-and-coming center for yoga education in this second largest Swedish metropolis.
I taught classes at the studio and held a workshop. The workshop was rewarding because of the level of dedication of everyone involved. Over the 10-hour weekend, we all became well acquainted, contemplated the 5 powers of Consciousness, and were able to enjoy a deeper practice together! Many of the community members happen to be enrolled in a 108-hour “Anusara Immersion,” and as a result, demonstrated profound knowledge and skill.
We were very blessed and honored to welcome a few travelers representing the Yoga Today community! Annika brought her family up from Germany for the weekend, and Gunn and Monique journeyed all the way from Norway! It was incredibly special to meet Yoga Today yogis face-to-face and I am so grateful that they were able to make the trek and join us with open hearts☺
From there it was off to Sweden’s third largest city, Malmö, where I spent a lovely evening connecting with members of their sweet and thriving yoga community. With two days of teaching at Studio Frid I had the treasured opportunity to get to know everyone as completely as was possible in such a short period of time.
One of the many wonderful things about yoga studios in Sweden has been the hospitality. Leslie (in Malmo) had hot tea and snacks ready after class. Anja (in Gothenberg) offered her students sugar-free hot chocolate. How sweet it has been to enjoy time with our Swedish yogi counterparts in-person… I am so honored and inspired.

The weekend workshop was just fantastic. Neesha is an amazing teacher, so knowledgeable, inspirational and giving in every breath. With no signs of jetlag she brought the energy level up high in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Thanks for all your great insight that you shared with us. I hope that you will be coming back to Gothenburg soon.
Keep spreading the love,
Annika Hygrell
I really enjoyed The workshop with Neesha at Yoga Buddhi in Gothenburg. What an inspiration you are to us all. I loved every second of it and it has given my a new perspective to my own practice.
I hope to see again here in Scandinavia, perhaps in Norway:). Gunn Helene and me just talked about in last saturday. If your are I will certainly be there.
I did not know the Anusara Invocation before I came and I discovered I could not get it out of my head so I just had to learn it by heart. A wonderful way of starting the yoga practice. Even though I am no Anusara Yoga Teacher I incorporated it to my own classes and my students love it too. I hope I am forgiven!
Neesha!
So great to see you live!! I really enjoyed your class. Short, but sweet. You are so inspiring and full of energy, spreading it to all of us.
Hope to see you back in Malmö again, soon!
Marietta (do you still remember all of our names??!)

Hi everyone who has written comments on this blog post!
It seems like yesterday since I saw you all! I hope that you are enjoying our new posts! I have been busy making these posts as well as teaching part 2 of an Immersion course.
It was rewarding to connect with each of you, and I cant wait to come back. Anja and I have talked about another trip relatively soon!
I hope that the seeds planted from our time together continue to gain richness and strength during this season. Let’s stay in touch about the spring! All it takes to get me to travel to your area is a studio that would like to host me…
Talk with you soon!
Neesha
PS. Gunn gave me with the most DIVINE cloud berry chocolates… Thank you so much for that ecstatic treat!
