As leaves fall in autumn, nourishing and seasonal foods like pumpkin and nutmeg soothe the nervous system and help us stay warm. The yummy beverage also has a ton of beta-carotene. The nutrient is what makes pumpkins (and carrots) orange. Beta-carotene encourages healing, rejuvenation and regeneration of tissue in our bodies. It also purifies the blood and soothes the eyes. The spices added to the drink lighten up the heaviness the pumpkin brings to the table and stimulates circulation. Enjoy this holiday treat!

* 1/2 c pumpkin (canned or fresh)
